The Tudor Tournament Returns!

The Olympic Flame at Hampton Court

After a lengthy hiatus, the Tudor Tournament has returned as the Olympic flame burns brightly in London! A number of competitions have already taken place, with Mary Tudor (Queen of France), Jane Grey, Stephen Gardiner, Catherine of Aragon, Francis Walsingham, John Dudley, Anne Stanhope, and Anne Boleyn making it to the second round of competition. If you missed  the complete line-up the first time around, you can visit The Tudor Tournament Challonge Bracket. Or, visit my previous description of the Tournament to see what it is all about.

So that the competition can wrap-up around the same time that the Olympics end, a few tweaks are going to be made. Instead of releasing one bracket to vote upon per day, two brackets will be posted for each of the remaining first-round participants. For the second round of competition, four competitions will be posted each day. During the third round, all the competitions will be posted on a single day. The fourth, fifth, and final rounds will be held on three separate days. You can vote in each poll, and at the beginning of the next day, the previous day’s tournament winners will be posted. Also, because so much info will be posted each day, my descriptors of each participant will be cut down just a wee bit.
So ladies and gentlemen, place your bets, cheer on your favorites, and register your votes. The next four bracket face-offs will take place on Wednesday. Let the Tudor Tournament begin again!
